Project Runway 9 - Come As You Are

I was so excited to see this season start! It was long awaited but it's finally here. This season Project Runway allowed us to see a casting special along with the final casting cuts, which we could finally see all the designers' previous works.

Once the final cast was established, the challenge is revealed to be a combination of two staple challenges of Project Runway. This is reminiscent of last season's first challenge, which they used their own clothes although they were given to another designer this time it was taken directly off their back and it was their sleepwear, and the first challenge of season 3, which they could use materials in their room except this time they were assigned to only take a bedsheet.

For a challenge using clothes they went to bed in and a bedsheet, the clothes did not turn out horrendously terrible but there are always bad outfits. Check out what the designers made:

The ones I like were the exact same as the judges.
Anthony:
I thought he turned out a very nice outfit. He gave it more of a punk vibe with the color palette. It was styled very well being disheveled, the trimmings were a smart idea and the skirt is nicely done.

Anya:
The pants really made this outfit, the fit and the design she added was well done. The top left me a bit blah but when I saw the back, it made it so much better.

Bert:
The was a great design, although it might be unsanitary to be wearing his boxers on that model. I think the dress is so well executed and made, it's just a great design. The judges are right the styling reminds me a bit of the 60s hair style and he could have gone modern.

The ones that were misses were:
Josh C.:
I felt this design just shrunk in the wash and it has unflattering lines in it.

Julie:
It was nice to see a bright standout color but that print makes it feel so juvenile. The pants didn't look that terrible until we got a close up and it was badly made for sure.

Oliver:
This design was just drab, boring and really unflattering to her body. If there was a bottom four I hope he's in it.

Rafael:
This outfit doesn't look like it fit her right. The top just looks like she's busting out of it rather than it being intentional. The pants were really tight on her and showing the darts was not a good idea. The necklace added some much needed color but it looks so bad with the outfit.

My Results:
Winner:
Bert! This design was great and who would have thought of this with boxers.

Out:
Rafael...just everything was wrong with this outfit.
